The Tiny Heart: Sweater Dress Outfit + Weekend

Sweater Dress Outfit + Weekend

JCPenney Military Vest (only $15!), Dress-Express (similar Old Navy Sweater Dress), ASOS Leopard Belt ($7!), Philip Lim for Target Tote, Miriam Merenfeld Arrow Necklace, Boots-Nordstrom (similar Steve Madden Intyce Boots)

I bought this sweater dress years ago and it's one of those pieces in my wardrobe that I reach for year after year. It's comfy, warm, and it can be worn a million different ways. I decided to remix this time with my military vest and leopard belt.

Yesterday we got hit with a snowstorm (based on Instagram, I can tell many of you had a snowy weekend as well!). They forecasted only less than an inch of snow, but the storm hit a lot earlier than they thought. It was a winter wonderland by yesterday afternoon.

The snow called for a warm and cozy outfit: my faux fur vest, plaid shirt, and a Cow Cat Creation knit bow headband

We spent the afternoon making our gingerbread house (and eating half the icing of course!).

  1. Such a cute outfit. I'd dress just like you if I was pretty, young, smaller, stylish and lived in New Jersey...

You got more snow than us; ours was just a sprinkling.

  5. OOO, great blue sweater dress! We had quite a snow storm here too, and unfortunately, my city sucks at road care so I was snowed in on Friday night and on Sunday (Saturday was sunny so I was able to get out!) Stay warm!!

  12. That sweater dress is so pretty on you and I like it with the cargo vest belted. I can't complain about the cold since your weather is much colder but it was record lows for us here too. I swear my fingers were going to fall off when I was out running. Love your gingerbread house!

  16. If I had a nice long sleeve sweater dress I would hold on to it as well. Oddly most of them have shortsleeves, and just make no sense!

Glad you got to stay in and enjoy the snowy weather - I've just got freezing rain here!
