The Tiny Heart: Maxi Dress for Fall

Maxi Dress for Fall

Old Navy Black Maxi Dress, Shirt-American Eagle (similar Forever 21 Plaid Shirt), Vest-Zara Girls (similar Delia's Faux Fur Vest), Target Ankle Booties

Just because it's fall now doesn't mean you need to put away your maxi dresses/skirts! This outfit was inspired by a Polyvore set by Rachel's Lookbook. I thought it was the perfect way to transition a maxi into fall.

This weekend I cheated on my beloved Target with Walmart. I had ordered this herringbone vest (a JCrew herringbone vest lookalike!) from their website, but unfortunately, it was huge on me. So I had to go to the store to return it. I can't remember the last time I was actually in Walmart, and I was shocked at how low their prices are! We got fleece blankets for the dogs for just $1 each. But don't worry, Target will always be my favorite!

  10. Wow, that is a pretty good price for the vest (considering how expensive j.crew's is) but I can't shop at walmart. There are just too many negative things associated with them and too many other places too shop.

A maxi and a furry vest is a great fall look -- I am a big fan of maxi skirts in the fall, they are just too hot during the summer!

  11. What a cute look. The vest makes it special.

I enjoy Target's colorful, friendly atmosphere. Walmart depresses me and they treat their workers (and suppliers) poorly. Even if Walmart has the lowest prices, I don't want to shop there.

  13. I need to check out Walmart! I haven't been in awhile. They always have the best sales and I love their stuff around holiday time. Both Target and Walmart are far away from me. I so hate that. Have an awesome week Sharon!

  31. I need to give my maxi dresses a try for the fall/winter. This is a great look with the fun vest.

I saw on Instagram (youngbrokeandfabulous) how she added black piping on the same Walmart vest and made it look like the J Crew version.
