On Fire + Target Giveaway

Cardigan-Express (similar), Top-Forever 21 (similar for $6), Necklace-INPINK, Skirt-Forever 21, Boots-Naturalizer, Bag-Botkier

I'd bet money that no one else's Friday night was quite like mine. First, we started hearing sirens. Then I noticed that it smelled like something was burning (I was hoping it wasn't something in my apartment). More sirens were going off and they were getting louder and louder. I opened the door and there was so much smoke that you could barely see across the street. Then I saw all the fire trucks, ambulances, and police...there was a 4 alarm fire literally right down the street from us! Apparently a bungalow (which no one was living in) somehow caught fire, which then spread to a garage, and then to a house next to it. Luckily they were able to put it out pretty quickly and they got everyone out of the houses safely. Craaaazy.

  10. Yikes! That's so scary. When I was little, my mom, sister, and I were driving coming home and we drove down our street and saw fire trucks lined up on the street. We thought one of our elderly neighbors was hurt but as we got closer, we saw that it was our house. Our garage had caught fire and luckily one of the neighbors spotted it before it spread to the rest of the house. SO scary!

  34. Whoa that sounds kind of nuts! A similar thing happened to me once, too. There was an abandoned factory down the street from me that "caught fire" (it was rumored it was arson), and to make matters worse, it contained toxic substances. Let's just say I kept my windows closed for about a week after that & tried not to breathe any time I was outside :)
I love that necklace! Is it the same one you wore when we all met up? (I have a horrible memory for important things, but random stuff tends to stick).

  48. Whoa,, that is one scary wake up call. I'm glad that it was a empty house and that it didn't spread to your home, fires are just terrifying. :P
I totally love the black and burgundy color theme going on here, it's so pretty and very sleek looking, the burgundy gives off such a different vibe than regular red would have looked with the black. And that bag is just straight up gorgeous!
