The Tiny Heart: Yogi Bear

Yogi Bear

Cardigan-F21 (similar), Top-Target (worn as dress here, similar option), Necklace-Brighthouse Baubles {giveaway win}, Jeans-A&F, Boots-Nordstrom (on SALE!)

Yesterday I was walking Oliver and all the sudden, he goes ballistic. I have no idea why and then all the sudden, I see it. A massive Rottweiler with its entire head out the window of a parked car, by itself. I was pretty sure another minute and it was going to be out of the car, a la Marley & Me.

Meanwhile Oliver keeps barking at it like he wants to attack. Yep, my 32 lb puggle thinks he can take on a Rottie that weighs more than both of us combined. And then I notice Oliver has managed to wriggle out of his harness. So I grab him by his collar and try to march him back down the street into our apartment, all while he's barking at the top of his lungs and jumping like a bucking horse. We finally make it back inside, I get the harness back on, and we go back out for a walk.

This time I kept my eyes peeled for dogs that looked like bears.

  3. Hahaha Bronx is the same way. It's almost like he doesn't realize he's only 9 pounds! When he was a puppy and only about 5 pounds, a huge boxer puppy came up to him and he tried to start a fight! The owner had to grab the boxer and pull him back inside!

  6. And my golden retriever is afraid of kitties :)) not to mention that she's 11 years old!
By the way, don't get me wrong but that necklace is a bit too big for your frame I think. Maybe you could use a bit smaller version of it?
    Just my opinion...

  8. Cute! Love the pops of pink from your shirt and the necklace. And I always get a kick out of smaller dogs that bark at HUGE ones. When I walk my parent's dog he does the same thing, thinking he's all tough :D

  9. Love your top and bubble necklace together! It seems smaller dogs always bark at larger ones haha.

  12. You look adorable! I love that necklace. I can never walk my dog. She is about 70 lbs and unfortunately not too friendly with other dogs, so when Josh isn't around I let her out in the backyard.

    1. Jinx is around 70 lbs too so I usually only take him for a quick walk (my hubby is the one that usually walks him), but he's great with other dogs.

  20. I'm SO scared of dogs. There used to be a doberman that wandered around our old neighborhood. Freaked me out. I carried one of my husband's kung fun weapons with me when I went on a walk just in case...

  39. My dogs do that too. So annoying. To make matters worse, not only do they whine and cry away if the dog comes near them, they're 6lbs and 15lbs so the other dog gets even crazier at the easy prey! Thanks for stopping by my blog! New follower.

  53. I had to pick up and carry my 45 pound pup down an entire block back to the house once because I opened the garage door and she bolted out before I could leash (or stop) her. I was so mad by the time I got to her I didn't want to waste the time walking her home via collar so I picked her up and huffed my way down back. Oh pups. Too bad they are too darn adorable 99% of the time.

  59. Yeah, in Puggle vs Rottweiler, the puggles do not do so well. (Our little jack russel is the same way, he thinks he can take on the big dogs and then he gets his butt kicked.) That's pretty scary about the bigger dog being almost out of the car like that, loose dogs always me nervous!
Scary dog episode aside, you look adorable! I love this color combination of the yellow with the navy and red polka dots, you wear the cutest casual outfits.
