The Tiny Heart: Essentials

Essentials

Shirt-Target, Scarf-Target, Pants-H&M Kids, Cowboy Boots-Vintage

This weekend was spent preparing for Hurricane Sandy. The grocery store was completely out of water, but luckily I didn't need to fight anyone for a can of Spaghetti O's. All the essentials were piled into my cart...bread, peanut butter, canned soup, chips, dip, Smores Granola Bars, and Pop Tarts. Total: $86. Whoever said it costs more to eat healthy wasn't prepping for a hurricane!

For those that don't know, I live 1 block from the ocean on the Jersey shore. I decided to evacuate to my parents' house (who live inland), while my hubby stayed behind with the dogs. There's a good chance I'll lose power at some point, so please bare with me as I may not be able to blog/visit blogs over the next few days. To all my blog friends in the path of Sandy, please stay safe!

  15. I love your chambray shirt and boots!

I went to BJ's yesterday and they were out of water too. But oddly enough, the grocery store around the corner from my house was still stocked up. Either I have nothing to worry about, or I live in a town full of idiots.

    Stay safe!

  28. Sharon - take care with that dang Sandy!!!! Hope you are ok. I just today purchased a shirt similar to yours at a thrift shop for (now don't be jealous) $4! Can you believe that? I was thrilled with it. It is a Faded Glory brand so that would be from Walmart but oh my gosh I am loving it. I could wear it similar to what you have on, with my skinny jeans and my green cowboy boots and my green and white striped shirtscarf. Funnnnnnn! :D Praying you'll be safe.

  45. Sharon, I hope that you, your hubby, dogs, and house were all safe from the destruction of Hurricane Sandy. Seeing pictures of the shore near to where I am guessing you live brought tears to my eyes, such a beautiful place that was turned into such devastation overnight, it is truly hard to imagine sitting here in Tennessee. We all understand that you need some time to get everything back in order, and don't worry pretty lady, we will all be right here when you get back!
