The Tiny Heart: Plaid & Pearls

Plaid & Pearls

Dress-Delia's (cute option), Belt-H&M (similar for $10), Necklace-Vintage (similar pearls), Bracelets-F21 (similar), Sandals-American Eagle (very similar)

It was 92 degrees in Jersey this week and it seems the warm weather brings out some very bad fashion. For example, someone I work with came into the office wearing a midriff baring top. Not only is this completely inappropriate for the workplace, but keep in mind that she's also a grandmother. It was like the sun...I couldn't look at her directly or I'd be blinded.

Then there's the short shorts and miniskirts. Don't get me wrong, I love my short shorts too. But people, if your butt checks are hanging out, it's too short.

What fashion faux pas have you seen lately?

  9. oh my goodness a grandma in a midriff-baring top?! AND she wore it to work! I've heard it all now. I saw a lot of people wearing not-so flattering shorts and back baring tank tops/tupe tops to the concert that I went to the other day. You're so right about the hot weather bringing out the worst in people's closets.

that dress is just so pretty on you. you look very elegant and lady-like. hope you enjoy this beautiful day!

Oooooh you look GORGEOUS, this dress is sooooo pretty and so you, perfect with the pearls :) Dittos on the shorts...I hate when pockets hang out the bottom of your shorts, they're just too small at that point! I think the hugest faux pas I've seen lately was a woman wearing a matching maxi skirt and knee length tunic that were black with neon green swirls. Ugh!

  14. Eeek! I am astounded by some of the things people where to work, especially now that the summer months are setting in. For example, jean shorts...nasty flip flops...dresses that should be worn at the beach....
