The Tiny Heart: Pattern Mixing X 4

Pattern Mixing X 4

Button Down-AE (similar option), Tee-Gap (similar), Jeans-A&F, Flats-Target (cute pair), Sunnies-Macys (similar), Necklace-Vintage (similar pearls)

If you look closely, I'm wearing a whopping 4 patterns in this outfit. I've mixed gingham and stripes, florals and stripes, and plaid and stripes before, but never so many patterns at once. I'm not sure if this is crazy or cute, but hopefully you guys will think the latter.

This lake is just a few blocks from my apartment and has this awesome bridge I'm standing on that goes from my town to another.  Yup, I live near both a gorgeous lake AND the beach. See? The Jersey shore has much more to offer than fake tans, hair gel, and clubbing at Bamboo.

Would you mix so many patterns together?

  12. Indeed you are living in a very beautiful region :). Love the blue sky in the background. It has been muggy and very humid in Austin. Most of the items I have in my closet are in solid colors. Have been working to incorporate more patterns and prints.

  27. You definitely pull this off! I think the key is limiting the amounts of different patterns ... here there is just a little bit of everything, so it's not overwhelming. Fabulous!

  36. See, that's how to properly pattern mix! Pull it off so well that people like me have to scroll up and down and up and down until we can finally see all the patterns! They just work so well together! I did almost accuse you of cheating until I remembered your shoes were animal print!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog on comments yesterday!

  41. Wow! I noticed the plaid and leopard right away, but you're totally right, you're wearing 4 different patterns! I'm not sure I've ever done that! I thrifted a plaid skirt today and I'm toying with the idea of wearing it with stripes, but you're totally winning as far as pattern mixing is concerned!!!

  42. Oooh, I am so jealous that you live close to the beach, during the summer I always miss living on the coast. (but our water was never close to that warm! More like stick a toe in and shiver, then run away!) I didn't even realize you were wearing four patterns, that was so smart to do the sutle patterns like that. This is a really adorable jeans look!
