Petite Shoe Review: Andres Machado Pumps

Blazer-Gap Outlet (similar), Tank-Express (similar), Skinnies-H&M Kids (similar), Pumps-Andres Machado (here)
My feet match my petite body...they're petite too. I wear a size 4 in womens, which makes shoe shopping quite the challenge. Most womens shoes start at size 5, making them just a bit too big for me. I was in the market for a pair of black pumps, in a size 4, under $100, and with a high heel. My search turned up the brand Andres Machado. To my delight, this designer had multiple options for black pumps. I ordered this peep toe pair from Amazon.com via seller Alonai.com for $49 plus shipping.

They're made from synthetic suede and have red soles. When I first put them on they felt a tad narrow in the toes, but after walking around in them they loosened up a bit. They have a hidden platform which makes them easy to walk in despite the 4.5 inch heel height. They come in a huge size range, from size 2 to size 12 (whole sizes only). I'm really pleased with these shoes and plan on purchasing Andres Machado shoes again in the future.

Petites, what are your shoe resources?

  3. Sharon, thank you for sharing this amazing shoe designer. I have some readers that need shoes in a size under 5 so I am going to share this on FB and Twitter.

  4. Awww, you have such tiny cute feet! Mines is the average 6 so I usually shop at either Aldo or Steve Madden. I love that sequins top on you, so glam!

  6. Yay, thanks to Bessie from Bravoe Runway for sending me over! SO happy to meet another small footed gal. I wear a size 4 to 4.5 generally, but the problem is I don't have very narrow feet so often those size are right in length but not width. A size 5 is right in width but too long. Gah! Your shoes are adorable- what did you think of their width?

    1. I usually wear a regular width and I have to say the shoes did feel a bit narrow in the toes when I first tried them on. They did stretch after I walked in them. It seems size 4 shoes don't come in wide width? Where do you buy your shoes?

    2. Hi there! I suffer with small wide feet. I came across a website & name brand that specialize in small sizes. Its called Cindarella of Boston. Website www.cindarellaofboston.com. I
havent purchased any shoes from them yet
      but its always an option!

  7. I get most of my kicks from Nordstroms and the Rack...they've always got tons of great selections and usually lots of small sizes left over...Love the look of sparkles and tweed...great mix!

  8. I love how your dogs make cameos in many of your pictures. So cute! My dog is the same way - can't keep him away from me, so he just hangs out in the background!

    1. It's funny because when I try to pose the dogs in my photos they're always looking the wrong way or moving around but when I don't try, they just pop themselves in there perfectly. Go figure :)

  12. Very cute! I'm small but have "average" sized feet haha - size 7 - and I have a crazy shoe obsession, so I don't know what I'd do! (Once someone with "big" feet said she was jealous of my "small" feet and told me I had "hooves." Hahhaa)

  13. I've got giant feet compared with yours, but I think Zappos carries a wide range of more petite shoe sizes. You can do a search by size, and the awesome thing is that they offer free shipping and returns, so you can try with no problems!

    1. I've ordered from Zappos before. Their size 4 selection for pumps isn't all that great though. They carry a lot of high end designers which is nice but I'd be broke if I dropped $200+ every time I wanted a pair of shoes. I wish they carried some cheaper alternatives.

  15. Those shoes are gorgeous, I can't believe your feet are size 4, i was size past a 4 in 4th grade! But it's better than having ridiculously large feet, haha. Glad you found footwear that works :)

    1. Thanks! I imagine people with really large size shoes run into the same problems I do since brands don't cater to the really small or the really large sizes.

  19. Love your blazer/sequin top combination! Those shoes are adorable, love the thicker heel. While I'm petite I have pretty average feet (6.5) but my DSW and Nordstrom carry size 4.5 to 5 in women's.

    Replies
    1. Thanks! I've never seen 4.5 in DSW and find most of their shoes start at size 6. :( Nordstrom does have size 4, but like I said above, their prices aren't always the best.

  22. It must be sooo difficult finding size 4 shoes. It's too bad more designers don't carry wider sizes! The ones you have found are lovely and I love the blazer/sequin combo!

  26. I love those shoes! I also have size 4 feet and love shoes!! I've shopped at Cinderella of Boston for a few years now and fit into size 3.5 there. Although some shoes are a hit-or-miss. Some fit perfectly and are so comfortable, and some are too small or too big or just completely unbearable to wear for more than 10 minutes. Like yourself, I don't want to spend a lot of money on a pair of shoes. However, I've recently purchased two pairs of shoes from Nordstrom, both size 4 (because I have one name-brand pair that's size 4 and they fit like a dream) so I'm hoping these will fit, and more-so I'm hoping they will be comfortable enough to wear all day and all night without any pain or hassles. So, what I'd like to know is are the Andres Machado pumps you purchased comfortable enough to wear for hours and hours on end? Also any other shoes from other stores comfortable to wear for hours?

    Thanks so much!

    1. Hi Jackie! Nice to find another person with a small foot! The Andres Machado pumps were comfy all day. I wore them to a wedding where I did a lot of dancing and they didn't hurt at all (until I took them off, ha). I've also recently purchased a pair of size 4 nude pumps from oasap.com. I can't wear them quite as long, but their prices are extremely affordable.
