The Tiny Heart: Missing Black Skirt

Missing Black Skirt

Hubby and I live in an apartment without a washer and dryer. (It's a small price to pay for living a block from the beach). We do our laundry at the laundromat up the street but occasionally we get lazy. Sometimes we'll have them wash and fold the laundry for us. Sounds great, right? Wrong!

One day I couldn't find my favorite black skirt, a bandage skirt with an exposed back zipper from Express. Naturally, I blame this on the laundromat because let's face it, I am not one to lose clothes!

 Cardigan-JCrew Outlet, Blouse & Skirt-Forever 21, Belt-H&M, Boots-Naturalizer, Necklace-Etsy via Bitterroot Vintage, Watch-Michael Kors
I secretly kept hoping my skirt would magically appear but it didn't. So, when I saw this black skirt at Forever 21 this weekend, I bought it. It doesn't have the back zipper but for $7.80 I think it just might be my new favorite.

  2. That is such a tragedy! Wash and fold is one of the few luxuries I allow myself, but they've never lost any thing. At least you found a cheap and cute replacement!

    1. Don't be too jealous...it's probably not much warmer here in Jersey right now than it is by you in Canada. It least the ocean still looks pretty. :)

Living by the beach? So dreamy! Do you live in Florida?

    1. I wish I lived in Florida but I live in Jersey. Right now it's freezing, but come May I'll be at the beach every day. :)

  6. OH no! Sorry to hear that the laundromat lost your skirt! This one is just as cute and for $8 you may as well get 2 as a 'replacement' in case something happens! Love the ruffle top as well!

    1. Thanks! I don't think I'll let the laundromat handle my clothes again after this. A shirt also went missing so we haven't had them wash and fold for us in months.

    1. Thanks Rebecca! Just have to figure out how to stop the dogs' eyes from glowing. They look like little aliens. :)

  8. Back at my old job, there was a dry cleaners that did deliveries to the facility. You dropped your dirties off at a specific spot, and picked your clean clothes a day later - I'm sure we paid more, but it was really too convenient. Trouble was that they were pretty bad - my buttons got broken all the time, sometimes I got new stains on my shirt, etc. But I kept using them because I was lazy! Bad me!
